On August 8, 2019, The Insurance Research and Training Center cooperated with FIRIS Investment and Consulting Co., Ltd. (FIRIS) to organize a conference on “Experience Sharing For The Insurtech Development In Asia” in Hanoi. The conference attracted the attention and participation of nearly 150 delegates from the Vietnam Insurance Association, insurance companies in the market, domestic and international insurance experts and other Representatives come from units operating in the technology sector in Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Mr. Ngo Viet Trung, Deputy Director of Insurance Supervisory and Authority, said that digital economy has been mentioned more and more in recent years and has become a part of the economy, including services and products based on digital technology, information and communication.

At the conference, the speakers exchanged contents related to: Laws on Insurance Technology (InsurTech) in some Asian countries; Smart automatic claim process; and Insurance Technology for Vietnam in the future.

At the end of the conference, delegates said that InsurTech conference 2019 has brought useful content, and giving an opportunity for insurance businesses to connect and share experiences about InsurTech application, contributing to promoting the development of Vietnam’s insurance market.
